FRUIT & VEGETABLE LIST
Honey Dew Melon
April is a great month to plant a new garden or raised bed or to continue expanding your garden or raised bed from last year. Over 110 years of farming history and heritage go into every bag of Daddy Pete, so you can’t go wrong with Daddy Pete’s Potting Mix for the fruits and vegetables to plant this month: cantaloupe, honey dew melon, watermelon, bell peppers, corn, cucumbers, green beans, hot peppers, lima beans, squash, tomatoes, and zucchini. If you have an existing garden and just need to amend your soil, we recommend using Daddy Pete’s Composted Cow Manure or Daddy Pete’s Kickin’ Chickin. And for lawn & garden fertilization, Daddy Pete’s Barnyard Fertilizer is our product of choice. Our Barnyard Fertilizer works well for top-dressing your flowers or vegetables; and you can also use it to fertilize your lawn or garden for spring growth. It is a slow release, pelleted fertilizer that will not burn your lawn, can be applied any time of the year, and is safe for children and pets. And don’t forget your furry friends all through the spring months. Daddy Pete’s Roasted Sawdust is an excellent, dry bedding for dogs, horses, goats, and other livestock animals.
