FRUIT & VEGETABLE LIST
March has arrived and this is a great month for planting fruit bushes and fruit trees with Daddy Pete’s Planting Mix. Here is a list of fruits to plant during the month of March: apples, blackberries, blueberries, figs, grapes, nectarines, peaches, pears, plums, raspberries, and strawberries. Once planted using our Planting Mix, we suggest using Daddy Pete’s Composted Cow Manure as a mulch around the surface area of the plant. Where applicable, make sure you stay away from the trunk of the bush or tree approximately 12 inches all the way around it.
March is also a great month for planting greens and a few other vegetables in your raised bed or garden. We suggest using Daddy Pete’s Potting Mix for planting these 6 items: collard greens, green peas, kale, mustard greens, potatoes, and turnips. Daddy Pete’s Barnyard Fertilizer works well for top-dressing your vegetables; and you can also use our Barnyard Fertilizer to fertilize your lawn for spring growth. It is a slow release, pelleted fertilizer that will not burn your lawn, can be applied any time of the year, and is safe for children and pets. And don’t forget your furry friends all through the spring months. Daddy Pete’s Roasted Sawdust is an excellent, dry bedding for dogs, horses, goats, and other livestock animals.
