August is a great month to start planting for Fall; and it is also a great month for starting new raised beds or refreshing old beds. Here are the items we recommend for August planting: beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, collard greens, lettuce, mustard greens, onions, radishes, spinach, sweet peas, turnip greens, and turnips. To maximize your fall harvest, try using Daddy Pete’s Potting Mix or Daddy Pete’s Raised Bed Mix for your planting.
